Please note: This aftercare guide does not apply to weekend or dramatic (cluster) lashes.
Thank you for choosing Brow Bar for your eyelash extensions. To maintain lash health and longevity — and to avoid any complications — please read and follow the aftercare instructions below carefully. Failure to follow these instructions may result in lash damage, eye irritation, or loss of extensions. Brow Bar will not be liable for issues arising from improper aftercare.
FIRST 24–48 HOURS
- Avoid contact with water including washing your face, sweating, steam, or swimming.
- Do not use mascara or curlers (heated or manual).
- Avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot showers, or facials.
- Do not touch, pull, or rub your lashes.
- Sleep on your back if possible and avoid pressing your face into pillows.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
- Clean lashes gently 2–3 times per week using a lash-approved, oil-free cleanser.
- Use a spoolie brush daily to keep extensions separated and neat.
- Avoid oil-based products on or around the eyes — these break down the lash adhesive.
- Refrain from applying any eye creams directly to the lash line.
- Do not perm or tint your lash extensions.
- Schedule infill appointments every 2–4 weeks to maintain fullness. If fewer than 50% of lashes remain, a full set may be required.
MAKEUP & REMOVAL
- Avoid wearing mascara — especially waterproof types.
- Remove eye makeup using an oil-free remover and lint-free applicator.
- Do not use cotton wool or pads that shed fibers near lashes.
WHEN TO CONTACT US

- Persistent redness, itching, or swelling
- Sharp stinging or burning sensation
- Excessive lash shedding within 48 hours
- General discomfort or allergic reaction
In some cases, lash extensions may need to be professionally removed. Do not attempt to remove them yourself — this may result in damage to your natural lashes.
REMOVAL POLICY:
If you wish to remove your lashes, please book a professional removal appointment. Self-removal or forceful pulling may result in permanent lash damage.
